Overlooking the foot of the piste of the Kandahar World Cup that runs down the flanks of Mont Blanc, and next door to the Mont Blanc Indoor Climbing Centre, it is ideal for skiers, mountain-bikers, hikers, climbers and alpinists who want affordable access the mountains. Apartment Jorland sleeps up to 6 people in two bedrooms and benefits from a large & organised kit storage area, open kitchen/living/dining area with patio doors to a terrace with outdoor seating.

Les Houches Apartment Halny is equipped with a high chair and a folding travel cot (bedding not provided) suitable for children under 2 years old, and a second is available on demand on arrival. Please note that in accordance with the manufacturer's safety instructions, an additional mattress is not provided with the cot.
There is no possibility for extra people to stay in the apartment, however there is a nearby campsite that could be an option in the summer.
Equipment
The main living space of this well-situated apartment is an open kitchen/living/dining area with double-height windows facing the skilift in the direction of Mont Blanc.
The kitchen is equipped with everything you might need for holiday catering, including a dishwasher, microwave, Nespresso coffee machine, kettle, toaster, oven, fridge and hob. Fondue and raclette sets are available for a traditional Alpine evening amongst friends or family. A hairdryer, washing machine and iron are available in the apartment for you to use. The clever layout of this apartment gives a bright and spacious feel whilst remaining interconnected. The entrance opens out into a large central kit storage area to help you keep all of your mountain equipment dry and organised. The open kitchen is equipped with everything you might need for group cooking, including a microwave, Nespresso coffee machine, kettle, toaster, oven, fridge and hob. TFondue and raclette sets are available for a traditional Alpine evening amongst friends or family. A hairdryer, washing machine and iron are available in the apartment for you to use. here is an indoor ski locker to store your ski equipment overnight. Outside is a seating area.
Relaxing
When spending long days on the mountain it's important to stay in a convenient location. Time to review, regroup and refuel is at a premium if you don't want to miss out on the next day's adventure. The table is a great spot review the action footage from the day or plan your route options for tomorrow. You'll probably be too busy to notice there is no television in the apartment, but if you want to catch an important match, you could always head out to the nearby bars in search of screening possibilities.
Glazed patio doors lead to a terrace with outdoor seating. Often it is relaxation enough to just pause to admire the sensational views of the Mont Blanc Massif and the northern slopes of the Chamonix Valley.

Parking
There is one parking space for a car outside the apartment. Free additional parking spaces are possible within 300m. Winter tyres and/or snow chains are legally-required in the winter (from November 1st to March 31st). Contact us for help finding railway or airport transfers.
Access
This Les Houches apartment is only 50 minutes drive from Geneva Airport, with easy access to the main dual carriageway that runs through the Chamonix Valley, and can easily be reached by transfer bus.
Within easy walking distance you'll find the supermarket, post office, pharmacy and a sprinkling of pub-restaurants, bars, cafés and shops selling local bread and cheese.
The Bellevue Cable Car (for easy access to the skiing, mountainbiking and hiking) is only 300m from Apartment Halny. You won't need a car during your stay as public bus stops here, and takes you to the other main ski / hiking /biking area of Prarion (2 minutes) or to a larger Super-U supermarket (5 minutes), Chamonix Centre (20 minutes), and beyond to the main ski areas of Flegere (60 mins). The train station is only 1200m away, and takes you to Chamonix (17 mins), and the Grands Montets (42 minutes). A free transport card will be provided for you to use the buses and trains in the valley during your stay. There are plenty of hiking and biking routes accessible on foot nearby. It is only a 15 minute walk to the delightful Lac des Chavants, with its climbing crag, tennis courts, playground and lake, along with a charming summer cafe.

Arrival is from 16h00, and departure is by 10h00.
The total price is composed of a one-off non-variable cost (per booking) to cover final cleaning, bed-linen & towels and other one-off fees, plus a nightly rental rate (per night) and nightly tourist taxes (per adult/child and per night), plus website fees (site-specific).
This total price includes the following:

Not included in the price:
- We do not debit or hold any money for the breakage deposit - instead you will be sent a link to provide a credit card guarantee for use in case of breakage unpaid at departure (up to 500 EUR). The guarantee will be cancelled when no unpaid damage is found after your departure.
- Please note: from January 2024, free transport cards are no longer issued to use the buses and trains in the valley without additional payment.
- There is no fireplace in the property.
- Dogs are not allowed inside the apartment.
- Only the exit cleaning is included in the base price – if you wish to have extra cleaning during your stay then this can be arranged on request. Bedding and towels are provided for your arrival - if you require a change of bedding and towels during your stay then this can be arranged for 29 EUR per person.
We operate a strictly "first-paid = first-reserved" basis for bookings so we cannot guarantee availability beyond what you see on this online booking portal and so we recommend you confirm within 48h in order to secure the reservation. The apartment is situated in a mountainous area, close to restaurants and bars and shops, only 500 m from the Bellevue skilift and ski slopes and well-connected to all other Chamonix ski areas by the bus service.
